A big component of the Atlantic Sex Show is education.

Panel discussions and Workshops are included in your admission at no extra cost! We will have a dynamic blend of educational workshops, panel discussions, and demonstrations throughout the Atlantic Sex Show.

Workshop room capacity is limited and will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you have mobility concerns that restrict you from this mode of access, or want to request ASL interpretation for workshops please reach out at atlanticsexshow@gmail.com.

Join us for an intimate discussion around sex and disabilities. Our host and their guests will have the floor, discussing how pleasure and disabilies interact. From visible to invisible, the relationship with our bodies and brains of course overlap with our sex lives, so what do those relationships look like when your body or mind may not fit the typical mould.

Bootblacking, for some, is a practical part of leather upkeep; for others, it may be an integral piece to worshipping the wearer or the boots themself. No matter the reason, this hands-on beginner workshop will cover the basics of bootblacking: essentials to carry in your kit, how to do a simple clean and polish, and a discussion around different ways to incorporate bootblacking into your play!

BYOB (Bring Your Own Boots) and partner if you’d like! Participation is completely optional. Polish gear is provided although bring your own if you already have some! Black boots only due to limited polish supplies

Adapting Sex Toys

Disabled sex can be tricky when we run into barriers, but disabled sex is also creative, restorative, exploratory, and vast in how it looks from person to person. This creates the perfect opportunity for person-centred hacks and adaptations to make our sex lives a little bit easier. Join me (Rachele – they/she) for a workshop focused on hacking our sex toys and adapting them to fit our needs. Bring your favourite sex toy that you wish worked for you just a little better, and I’ll supply a few options for adaptation materials. We’ll also discuss how we can address non-physical barriers, and other adaptations you can make outside of the workshop.
This workshop will prioritize the experiences of those who identify personally with disability, but is open to anyone who feels they would benefit from some adaptations or is wishing to learn more about little tricks for making sex more accessible.

When we look at how to improve our sexual health and explore our desires, we often forget to take into account our physical, mental and financial health. This workshop will look at how our sexual health is both impacted by and impacts the other facets of our health. We’ll look at how to become more aware of when and how these factors are impacting each other and strategies for improving our sexual health with this improved awareness. We will have a particular focus on recognizing the impacts of body changes as we age, stress, community vs isolation, and the importance of communication to build a support system for self-care.

Often unaware of the facts, the options, and where to get help, women can suffer incredibly during this period of life . It can seriously impact our mental, emotional, physical and sexual health. We feel frustrated and sometimes down right insane. The effects on the relationships we have with others, both romantic and platonic, can make us feel very isolated. But it doesn’t have to!!! This presentation looks at the huge variety of symptoms that are connected to perimenopause, ways that these symptoms can impact us, and a variety of options to help us navigate the changes happening. Let’s start to demystify this very common milestone so we can feel better, live better, and love better.

Casey Vaasjo is a Sexuality and Relationship Coach passionate about helping people never settle again: in sex, love, or in life. She specializes in empowering individuals to awaken deep pleasure and embody their desires, boundaries, and truth with confidence and integrity. With expertise in VITA Coaching (Vital and Integrated Tantric Approach), somatic embodiment, gentle trauma release, and non-violent communication, Casey draws from her own transformative journey, as well as leaders in Sexual Reclamation: Layla Martin, Cory Scott, and Martina Nabao. Through her teaching and coaching, Casey is committed to helping people reclaim their power—sexually, relationally, and personally—unlocking deeper fulfillment in every aspect of life. Casey is a Mother, Maven, and modern-day Priestess.

Jule is a fire-hearted creatress, a liberated soul, and a catalyst for transformation. As a trauma-empowered Sexologist and Intimacy Coach trained in the Somatica® Method, she weaves depth, intuition, and playful magnetism into her work, guiding folks toward deeper authenticity and connection.

She practices the art of Sacred Sexuality—learning to release shame, embody pleasure, and live with unapologetic joy. Jule helps people cultivate secure, nourishing relationships and reclaim their innate worthiness of pleasure in every aspect of life.

“My name is Kelly Blenus, I have been an active part of the Halifax sex party and kink scene for over 7 years. I provide one on one training and mentoring in Rope Bondage, and host a monthly public rope event called Loops and Bights. I am passionate about kink, and love the intellectual side of both kink and sex. I thrive in helping to create safer spaces, in particular those that put queer, trans, and non-binary peoples’ needs at the top of my priority list.”

Luna Matatas is a Sex and Pleasure Educator with over 20 years of experience teaching sex and empowerment workshops. Luna has taught sexual wellness workshops internationally and locally with diverse communities. She celebrates body confidence, sexual self-esteem and building shame-free pleasure in and out of the bedroom. Luna teaches 30+ sexy skills topics; including threesomes, BDSM, and dirty talk. She created Peg the Patriarchy® and Meditate Medicate Masturbate® brands as part of her sex-positive and feminist merchandise.

Nephira & BabyBear

Nephira & BabyBear

Nephira & BabyBear are an openly queer, polyamorous, kinky couple who have been offering perspective on ethically non-monogamous practices as well as kink-based education and demonstrations across the Maritimes.

Nephira started as a bottom in the East Coast kink scene in 2014, and the more they learned about rope, the more they wanted to learn about it. With time, Nephira has become a passionate rigger in their pursuit of creative expression through rope bondage. Alongside their partner, bottom, and assistant BabyBear; they have been sharing knowledge and facilitating kink education in their local communities since 2018.

The two have been dedicated to doing what they can to support and uplift the sex-positive and queer communities that brought them together, and have been teaching what they have learned over the years to help others become better informed about higher-risk play in their pursuit of playful and intimate connections through such experiences.

Rachele Manett

Rachele Manett (they/she)

Rachele Manett is a queer, disabled sex educator, certified recreation therapist, and host of That Sex Show on AMI-TV. Their work is influenced predominantly by their own experience with disability, as well as a background in the health care and disability sectors and a masters degree exploring acquired physical disability and sexuality. While her work explores all sorts of sexuality-related topics, Rachele holds a particular love towards disabled sexuality and accessible sex practices.
Rachele has been a guest on Access Tech Live, Disability After Dark with Andrew Gurza, and The Pulse with Joeita Gupta, and does presentations and panels related to disabled sexuality for organizations all over Canada.

Serena Haines is a passionate and experienced Sex & Intimacy Coach dedicated to helping individuals and couples deepen their connection, enhance pleasure, and embrace authentic intimacy. With a holistic approach that blends education, embodiment practices, and open conversations, Serena creates a safe and empowering space for clients to explore their desires, overcome barriers, and cultivate fulfilling relationships. Through workshops, coaching, and speaking engagements, she encourages people of all backgrounds to rediscover joy, confidence, and pleasure in their intimate lives.

Trisha Daley

Trish Daley (she/her)

Trish Daley is a nationally certified Options for Sexual Health educator who feels passionate about positive sexual health education for EVERY body and mind. She has been a certified public school educator for almost 25 years and has worked in the adult toy industry for over 10 years. Dedicated to helping people live their best life, Trish recognizes the interconnectedness of personal health and wellness facets and the importance of building supportive open community.

She is also a woman experiencing many of the impacts of perimenopause. After several years of suffering uncontrollable emotional outbursts, Trish self-advocated with her medical professional to look at the potential connection to perimenopause. Through self education she was shocked to realize the extent of symptoms connected to perimenopause and how often they are dealt with in isolation. Join Trish in her quest to create community and awareness while we look at the whole picture.

Wren (they/them)

Wren is a pleasure-seeking sex educator, facilitator, and procrastinating artist based in Kjipuktuk (so-called Halifax). Operating with the understanding that life can make our relationships to ourselves and others complicated they aim to provide honest education that promotes curiosity, messiness, and play. They are particularly interested in kink culture for its ongoing histories as it relates to queer resistance, collective care, harm reduction, and forever interrogating our desires.
