Abhishek Bhuchar is a local Halifax brown stand-up comic who’s been hitting stages sharing stories and jokes about his ridiculous life. He has become a regular at comedy clubs and open mics, with his witty, charming, and fun dark humor (with a massive hint of self-deprecation). Abhishek most recently appeared in the HubCap Comedy Festival, as one of the finalists in the Open-Mic competition. He has had the opportunity to perform in Halifax, Toronto and in the Halifax Fringe Festival. Catch him on the ASS Mainstage in the Saturday and Sunday night Big Shows!

A lingerie boutique owner and bra-fitter by trade, she is self-professed to be lingerie obsessed! She has been performing since 2022 and is a member of Blue Lobster Burlesque. Her name means: “Yikes, watch out!” so we can express concern for her well-being when she takes the stage: Aiya Xiaoxin. The Atlantic Burlesque Festival is an annual event featuring Canadian Burlesque Talent!! ✨️

They bring live showcases for two nights, workshops, panels, and social events focusing on Canadian talent, and showcasing the burlesque scene in Atlantic Canada as a destination for live events, skills development, and community building.

The Atlantic Burlesque Festival is thrilled to be bringing a showcase featuring some of the local talents to the Atlantic Sex Show on Saturday, as well as a community booth hub all weekend long!

Britt Campbell has been described as intelligently inappropriate, dark, relatable, and surprisingly, kind. Their unique and bold take on life, relationships, human nature, family dynamics, and queerness has made them stand out as one of Canada’s freshest new comedy voices.

Britt performs with independent clubs and theatres across the country. They can be heard on Sirius XM, Just for Laughs Originals and CBC’s Laugh Out Loud.

Cin-Diesel arrived a little late to the party but he was just waiting until the world was ready to recieve his amazingness. With his Slick moves and sexual energy, its hard to resist his allure. Clare Belford is a comedian and a nice person. Hailing from northern Alberta, she cut her teeth early on by forcibly telling deeply personal jokes about womanhood to drunk tradesmen. Nowadays she is a veritable fixture of Canadian comedy.

Clare has performed at festivals like Just For Laughs, the New York Comedy Festival, the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and she appears on CBC Gem’s New Wave of Stand Up. She writes for and has appeared on This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and her album, The Entire Cabbage, plays regularly on Sirius XM. It was also named one of the Best of 2021 by Bullseye on NPR.

A veteran of the Halifax rave scene, Dol-B (Brendan Sutcliffe) played their first gig in 1995 at the Khyber building in Halifax. Honing their skills on on the turntables soon rose to cutting they’re teeth in warehouses and clubs with residencies soon to follow. Early beginnings in Old School Jungle / Breaks and Hip Hop went hand in hand with accomplishments in the national breakdance and graffiti communities. Dol-B’s music styles came to include Jungle, Drum and Bass, Breaks, Dancehall, R&B and House. Celebrating over 25 years as a dj, wrecking stages over all over Canada, they remain a pillar in the Maritime DJ scene. First they are sweet, then really really sour Dulce Malicia is a tropical bombón here to seduce and confuse. Burlesque performer, aerialist and official silly goose, Dulce does it all. You may find them producing events in Puerto Rico for Que se lo Quite Burlesque, designing and creating costumes or doing tricks and flips at the beach. Dare to taste the sweetness? iness Vixens are a group of pole dancers from iness Circus who come from a variety of backgrounds. They have been performing together for three years, although many of us have been poling much, much longer. They love their 8 inch heels, and we strive to empower other women to embrace their bodies. Jake Jockerson is a Halifax-based multi-talented performing artist, specializing in many fields such as Burlesque, Gogo Dancing, The Flow Arts, and Fire Arts. Jake is a core member of an award-winning troupe known as Atlantic Boylesque, has been nominated for Best Dancer for Best of Halifax 2024, and is a Headline Performer for Montreal’s Bagel Burlesque Festival 2025. Inspired by contemporary music, art, dance, the flow arts, and all things nerdy, Jake brings his performing arts to a level never seen before. Sarah MacLellan is a Halifax-based podcast producer and standup comedian. She’s hosted over 250 episodes of her flagship comedy podcast, InTalksicated, and currently produces the chart-topping sex and relationships podcast Intimacy Unlocked. Sarah has performed standup comedy at YukYuks, Halifax Live, and a variety of shows across the city —sharing honest, relatable observations with a healthy dose of TMI.

Serena Haines is a passionate and experienced Ceritfied Sexologist and Sex & Intimacy Coach dedicated to helping individuals and couples deepen their connection, enhance pleasure, and embrace authentic intimacy. With a holistic approach that blends education, embodiment practices, and open conversations, Serena creates a safe and empowering space for clients to explore their desires, overcome barriers, and cultivate fulfilling relationships. Through workshops, coaching, and speaking engagements, she encourages people of all backgrounds to rediscover joy, confidence, and pleasure in their intimate lives

Kay Licious embodies glamorous ridiculousness and confident weirdness. Kay has been performing since 2006, when she got her start with Pink Velvet Burlesque. Lumen Lux is a multifaceted circus performer who fell in love with the arts at a young age. Beginning her fire journey in 2016, Lumen progressed from spinning fire to eating fire to breathing it. Their many talents also include hooping, flow arts, gogo, drag and burlesque.

Lumen Lux has performed at festivals such as Evolve Music Festival, Fire and Water Cultural Festival, Nocturne, Future Forest, Montreal’s Wiggle Room, Fredericton Pride and many other events throughout Canada and is the Performing Coordinator for Vitality Music Festival

They have done collaborations with manyother artists and also works with performing organizations such as Serpentine Studios and Luminosity Circus and if that’s not all she produces her own events focusing on drag, burlesque, fire, live music and more under the alias Lumen Lux Productions. Mae is a trans non-binary ASL/English interpreter with over a decade of experience bridging communication with flair and heart. With roots deep in the performing arts world, Mae has spent years not only interpreting but also coordinating access behind the scenes, ensuring that stages shine just as brightly for Deaf and Hard of Hearing audiences.

You might’ve seen them signing their heart out at Halifax Pride, heating things up at local drag and burlesque shows, or even right here on stage at the last Atlantic Sex Show. Mae is all about making performance spaces bolder, queerer, and unapologetically accessible. When the lights go up, you’ll find Mae making sure everyone gets a front-row experience—because access, like a good show, should always be center stage.

Your sleep paralysis demon just got sexy! Channeling horror and inspired by club kids, Matricide is a burlesque/drag artist of Halifax, NS. Rachel Matheson is a PEI born Toronto bred stand up comedian. A staple in the Canadian queer comedy scene since 2012, their unique and slightly jarring takes on dark topics has left audiences nationwide wildly entertained and vaguely concerned for her mental well being. She is the host and producer of the successful monthly show “Laughs and Libations” at Upstreet Craft Brewing, which has had some of Atlantic Canada’s most promising up and coming talent. Delightful, dramatic and occasionally delusional, Rosie Blooms digs into her strange feelings and fantasies and presents them for the world to see and judge… while also taking off her clothes. Known in the local burlesque scene as the ‘queen of props’ and simply as “WTF?”, she is the Mainstage and Entertainment Producer of the Atlantic Sex Show (and is working like, really hard, you guys!) and will be gracing the stage as the Sunday night Big Show host!

No stranger to the dark shadows of backstage, often (not) seen behind the scenes, and rarely steps into the light, Rue Phoria is excited come out from behind the curtain to Kitten alongside such an incredible group of performers. Scarlett Rose is a multidisciplinary artist from Kjipuktuk/Halifax, Nova Scotia. With just over a decade in the local entertainment industry, she has developed and performed hundreds of acts with numerous agencies across five provinces. Making the best of her background in dance and theatre, Scarlett’s first forays into circus arts have since expanded to include multiple circus disciplines, fire, Burlesque, GoGo dance and character work. Known for her dynamic and energetic style, Scarlett transports her audience to new worlds regardless of context and apparatus. Catch her on the ASS Mainstage in the Sunday night Big Show!

ShellOutTunez is a Dj duo made up of DJGOLDAZZ and DJ Vixxen They are inspired by Black queer and trans icons mixing between genres like Dancehall, Afrobeats, Nollypop, Black House and more. Silver Stim is a powerhouse production manager, stage manager, performer, and arts administrator rooted in Atlantic Canada’s vibrant queer performance scene. Known for wrangling mayhem into organized brilliance, blending fierce energy with sharp precision, and always bringing the unexpected, Silver has built a reputation for delivering spectacular, high-impact shows — whether behind the scenes or in the spotlight themself. From theatre and drag to burlesque and dance, Silver is here to be your favourite stim toy, both on and off the stage.

Slinky Clare is a performer and instructor based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has a particular affinity to spookiness as well as a stellar resting bitch face and signature “slinky” style that is dripping with weird, dark and sexy. In addition to Burlesque, Slinky does belly dance, heels dance, fire & more. She is part of the Serpentine Studios Entertainment Agency and is an immensely proud cat mom. She has performed on stages throughout the Maritimes, Ontario, Quebec and New York City. Blurring the lines between classic showgirl and comedic pop culture references, she is always bringing sexy and, OR strange to her audiences. Vanessa Buttercup is the lovechild of Old Hollywood glamour and late-night mischief. She walks in with a wink and leaves you wondering what just happened. A seasoned performer, she’s graced stages like the Atlantic Burlesque Festival and Neptune Theatre’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. Playful or powerful, giggles and jiggles are always on the table. Wendy Bonbons is an indigenous artist based in St. John’s, who has been frequenting stages for the past nine years around Canada. Combining her classic burlesque skills with her love for wet and messy, Wendy brings a unique experience to the stage, specializing in cake sitting and food play. X (They/Them) is the non binary babe from Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada.
